bd of TECH in GCM class of 2010
I started out as a keen active member of the society attending numerous snowboard and rock climbing trips. From there my involvement developed into an opportunity that helped my social, time management and professional business skills which helped me finish off my University degree on a successful note. The skills I have developed during my years with Adventure Society has brought me life long skills, friendships and memories that will last my lifetime. If you have any questions feel free to contact me on my email, I love to chat!
Sincerely,
Holley Chiborak

I’ve always had a strong passion for nature and adventure, when I found this group in my first year I thought “how perfect?”. Studying in the Arts & Contemporary program at Ryerson from 2003-2008, I became highly involved with the Adventure Society in my first year, holding an executive position by second year. In my third year I was given the title of president, and continued so for 3 years. I have since passed along the title to Holley who has done a wonderful job. I still help organize events and participate in most of them! I highly encourage everyone to come out to our events, and for those a little more adventurous, volunteer and become involved as an executive member!
I've been with the adventure society for the past few years. You may have already seen me at some of the events. I tend to show up on at least one of our annual ski trips, and often do rock-climbing on the weekends. If you haven't seen me on the trip yet, you probably will as this school year we are going to hit you hard with some new and ofcourse annually well organized events.
I am now pleased to announce that we have our new site up and running. You can check out a calendar on the home page for quick dates of events and read up for details in the events portion.
To add a little more about me, I am in my last year Criminal Justice program. Currently I am also involved with Ryerson Student Emergency Response Team. During the summer I spend most of my time in the water swimming, canoeing and snorkelling. When the winter comes I get up on the skis and hit up the hills. While waiting for the snow I can often be found rock-climbing or in the library studying. Yeah, I know school is a killer.
I hope to see you soon on one of our trips! Cheers.
